Plot twist: Akihiro is the main character and the redhead Musashi is a background character =_=

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

I'm thinking the same lol

Xiao Yan • 1 year ago

Yeah but when I was watching I thought Akihiro would fail and Musashi would deal the final blow but what happened it disappointed us...

Kirito • 1 year ago

I was hoping for akihiro to failed and let musashi do the final blow just like what a mc will do but this time he's a supporting character

LesK • 1 year ago

i thought with Akihiro's dying breath he would pass the link to his older bro who would pass it to Musashi for the win. then Aki could have a hero's burial or something and the older bro would be the big chief unga-bunga with all the glory and overthrow that arsehole dad of theirs.

i agree, this episode was a disappointment.

LegoOnTheGroundYouMissed • 1 year ago

How dare you stomp my immersion LMAO

Xiao Yan • 1 year ago

Haha, sorry brother but that's how the thing is....same story in S1 at first they humiliated Musashi and in the last episode they made him good and the same is happening in S2 they humiliated him good and now 2 episodes are left they will make him look good....

FUAD • 1 year ago

I also think so!

Kirito • 1 year ago

That's also what I thought. Akihiro doing this kinds of drama stuff is kinda like what shounen mc always do and what musashi did was supporting and saying stuff about that and giving them hope just like a side character like what is going on

Subhankar • 1 year ago

There's 3 more huge oni's lol Musashi has enough time to hog his glory. I'm fine with this development as long as there's another season

Xiao Yan • 1 year ago

Yeah Musashi is just like a cheering squad....

GreenTea Gal • 1 year ago

Musashi: i'm a background chara in my own show :(
Kojiro: oh wow, you got screentime?!

blacksparkss21 • 1 year ago

true words spoken.

Insanity2222 • 1 year ago

this show is the second show i ve watched where they make the main characters side characters wth is up with that?

LegoOnTheGroundYouMissed • 1 year ago

Wait they better have sucked up some of that magic dust man

Bisketbutter • 1 year ago

this was some of the worst development/writing i've ever seen. I mean. how the TF did he break that supposedly unbreakable horn after he left the energy link and simply gave it a hug? and what happened with musashi? i coulda sworn he was the main F**king character. they wasted so much time on something that was an absolute waste. All the guy had to do was give the horn a hug and use his toe (not even the blade) to break it? the way the orange haired ppl use/orient their blades make absolutely no sense either. the potential this series had was minding it's own business and it just a dinosaur sized pile of sh*t dropped on it-- and the supposed main-body of the most dangerous kishin in the series so far was defeated so quickly after they chopped off a worms horn? how is that supposed to make any sense at all

Supushan • 1 year ago

Althought I agree that scene was beyond awfull, they stated that they were wearing Orochi down ever since they set the boats on fire and that the worm was carrying a massive quantity of kitetsu that wold be able to replenish Orochi's reserves and allow it to fire it's beam attack again and wipe everyone

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

It's bad enough it's cliche at best and dated at worst, like it's something I'd expect from a shounen made in 2008. This looks like something I'd expect an ad for on Cartoon Network while I'm watching Star Wars the Clone Wars! "Watch Orient this Saturday at 8AM Eastern!"
But combine that with development and writing like this, it's suddenly a slog to sit through. Musashi is bland at best, a knockoff Soma at that, and at worst, he's unremarkable. He's done NOTHING to warrant a goddess on his side let alone show his strength.
It's obvious the Magi author fell off with this, and IDK how she wrote this and somehow NOT have thought, "Hey, maybe this isn't working out." And considering studio ACGT's track record, and the fact it's directed by Highschool DXD director Tetsuya Yanagisawa, you couldn't have picked worse people to work on Orient if you tried.

Kirito • 1 year ago

My problem here is how did akihiro had enough strength to break the horn when he's worn out so all he needs is to talk l

Glinda • 1 year ago

Woha, I really feared for Akehiro's life for a moment... 😰
Lucky he's fine

Kirito • 1 year ago

I was hoping he would die and their elder brother will take over

FraZz • 1 year ago

Power of friendship is strong in this shit. Dropping this anime.
They showed he has the Goddess Power, then spent a whole fking season keeping Mushashi as a background character with very little development.
Fk this anime man. Disappointed.

wolf • 1 year ago

im going to try to give this anime another chance. but ya, how is it a good idea to keep the MC and his 2 MC friends as basically support characters in their own show?
i came to watch Musashi and Co. get stronger and more character. but instead Musashi is a Family therapist and his friends are background characters.

atm, the characters your supposed to relate to arent made relatable!

wolf • 1 year ago

came to this anime to watch Musashi, but ended up with a family drama action anime instead...

like i came to watch Musashi and his 2 friends and GF, but theres none of that in these episodes.
he is literally a side character in his own show and his friends who are the other 2 mains are background characters basically!

like, this is the exact same issue "I'm a Spider, So What?" had where half the anime was about the "Classmates" who were very generic in terms of thought process.

came for the spider and ended with a Hero complex.
came for Musashi and ended with Family therapy with Musashi as the therapist.

it would be like watching "Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon?" but instead of watching Bell, you watched Bete Loga with tiny sprinkles of Bell in each episode.

i hope if this gets a 3rd season, that it actually focuses on Musashi's growth and character development. if it doesnt, then i am done with this anime. kinda hard to relate to the MC when the MC is a support character in his own show.

Kirito • 1 year ago

Musashi doesn't get enough spotlight he's a supporting character here

LesK • 1 year ago

totally agree

Astolfo-kun • 1 year ago

Family.

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

He really nice guy but have heard time expressing it as he got older.

poorguy • 1 year ago

They talked so much in this episode even enemy has to w8 and listen to this melow drama happening during the battle field

LesK • 1 year ago

yeah this episode was massively bogged down by serious bouts of 'flashback-itus'. frankly, i FF through all those bits because they weren't all that interesting. bad/mean/evil dad... bla bla bla... bunch of self-hate... bla bla bla... sibling bonds screwed up... bla bla bla...

i know backstory is important to the character development and plotline of the story. but shoving it into the MIDDLE of an important and supposedly CLIMACTIC battle where lives are on the line, is just cruddy writing.

add into all THAT and the massively ho-hum-boring poorly animated/choreographed big finishing moment of the episode where the monster gets its 8 horns cut in still frames with ZERO animation... that just shows that this episode is seriously lacking in quality writing as well as animation.

the Bell vs Moss Huge fight in Danmachi this season was better than this one. the ep12 finale fight in My Isekai Life was done better.

David Anthony Hart • 1 year ago

This show has felt like has been written on the fly for each episode with no idea where the plot is going by a group of 12 year olds since the start.

LesK • 1 year ago

i was thinking it was written in a room full of mechanical typewriters and sitting at each one was a chimpanzee. each typewriter is constantly re-supplied with paper and ink-ribbon. when the chimps get tired, a vacuum tube delivery system (just like bank drive-through tellers used to use) at their desks pops a fermented banana up. therefore, the tired chimps can get slightly drunk from the nanner and continue to happily and randomly beat on the keys. :D

Yael • 1 year ago

I'm kinda falling asleep

LesK • 1 year ago

me too

Supushan • 1 year ago

Boring sibling drama in the middle of a deadly battle aside, they really dropped the ball in that last hit, animation-wise

LesK • 1 year ago

i thought the same thing

Milluki Zoldyck • 1 year ago

so they took fucking 20 minutes just for nonsensical inner thoughts and talks

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

Time for another Monday dosage of onis and shounen!

2 more episodes to go!

Tomato Kyouko • 1 year ago

only a few more ep left, will we get to see the obsidian goddess once again?

Personal Private • 1 year ago

Judging by how useless and trash the MC is she's probably gonna appear for not longer than 10 mins or worst, she wouldn't appear at all.

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

I'm sorry, but Akihiro's sibling can kindly shut the f*** up, like they're in a position to talk.

Y'all knew your brother your whole life, took his word, without hesitation or even questioning, likely knew his intentions and whatnot, yet all it took for you to wake up was this rando Musashi to tell y'all what's up and him bickering with your brother? Really?

First off, y'all just woke up to reality 5 minutes ago, second, y'all CHOSE to not say anything until just now, so you basically enabled Akihiro to become this arrogant clown all about the fame and glory.

blacksparkss21 • 1 year ago

how many times i expected for Musashi to go sycho and just yeet everything with him unlocking the diamond aura and become 1 man army, but nooo he is even more useless than blue, and he can`t even fight on his own (considering how strong he was even without kitetsu blade) making him this useless is a sin,and i wonder how he`l get redeemed now, because 1 of the big oni is ded and he did close to nothing, and it seems anime nowadays can`t use the "rage" power ups, witch is sad, because its close to berseker from fate series (i mean the rage thing) and its a badass power, but its never used here (even tho,it could have been in so many moments).
This MC is just a wimp that got "some" power that he can`t even use,and till now,he is more of side character rather than a main one. They could really make that scythe his weapon, but he got that big ass sword just for show.

Itx ali • 1 year ago

wtf!! this anime is so messed up. really started to hate it now. I can't believe i wasted my time on this piece of absolute shit. First off, this whole season they just defeated a single dumb ass oni and now this shimazu brothers shit. I'm actually fed up

Personal Private • 1 year ago

At this point, the main character is just an absolute trash. Worst character development I've ever seen in my life watching a series like this, I mean bro... the side characters are absurdly stronger and even had more character development than this fcking piece of trash MC... I'm done.

SynCloud • 1 year ago

🤣

Haruka yukino • 9 months ago

Wtf kanetatsu begging to musashi to kill the kishin with the power of obsidian goddess.
A few episode later Akihiro kill the kishin and musashi is more like power of friendship.

Subhankar • 1 year ago

Akihiro was really torn between fulfilling his duties and his brothers all this time, that commitment to go inside the maw of that Orochi, and Musashi and gang even when asked to retreat kept going inside to help Akihiro was commendable.

All of that because what their father said to him because he's a red bushi then a blue bushi can also do that. Their father is bias

Kirito • 1 year ago

Next episode is tsugumi and kojiro turn to fight the enemy
